We are a small workshop working to create a limited number of unique commissions each year. Run by two carpenters, Holden and Wright Carpentry has its roots in forestry and woodland management.

 

Our work begins in the woodlands of the South Lakes where we source our own timber each winter. This gives us the rare opportunity to see the journey a tree makes from standing in the woods, where it began long before us, to becoming part of a building that will long outlast us.

Following in the tradition of medieval carpenters, we scribe each joint individually for a perfect fit. The buildings we create will stand for many years, perhaps even centuries to come as a lasting monument to the strength and quality of our local timber.
